Baked feta cheese

Baked feta is another of the recipes I tasted during my recent stay in Greece. It is a very tasty vegetarian dish, obviously typical of Greek gastronomy, very simple and very quick to make. All you need is a bowl suitable for cooking in the oven, even if it is nice, so you can use it as a serving dish, cut a few ingredients and voila, in 30 minutes everything will be ready! The ingredients that make up the dish are all Mediterranean and easy to find: onion, cherry tomatoes, peppers, olives and oregano.
But nothing prevents you from personalizing the dish as you please, getting a different flavored baked feta each time: P

  • Doses for 4 people:
  • 250 gr of feta
  • 100 gr of cherry tomatoes
  • 30 gr of pitted black olives
  • 1 green chilli pepper
  • 1/4 of red onion
  • Origan
  • extravirgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
(100 ml = 3.4 fluid oz. – 100 grams = 3.5 ounces – 1 liter = 34 fluid oz. – 1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds – 100C° 212F° – 180C° 356F°)

Method

How to make baked feta cheese

Wash the vegetables, peel them and cut them into small pieces.

Put the feta, in a single whole piece, in a bowl suitable for cooking in the oven.
Spread the vegetables over the cheese, covering it, then season with salt, pepper, oil and oregano.
Then put in a preheated convection oven and cook for about 20 minutes at 180 ° C.

The baked feta is ready, serve it immediately.
