Carrot and orange donuts

The carrot and orange donuts are a healthy and delicious sweet to prepare for breakfast or a children’s snack. But watch out for the grown-ups, when I made them they accompanied the coffee break here in the office and judging by the expression of the girls I suppose they would have repeated the right break to treat themselves to some other donuts;)
White chocolate and a pinch of butter complete the donuts making them even more inviting, but if you want to keep yourself “light” you can choose not to put it. I could never recommend such a thing! I got the recipe here and if you love i sweets with carrots, you have to try it is fabulous!

  • Servings for 18 donuts:
  • 200 gr of carrots
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 250 gr of 00 flour
  • 1 grated orange and juice (70 ml)
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 ml of seed oil
  • 1/2 sachet of baking powder
  • For the glaze:
  • 100 gr of white chocolate
  • 15 gr of butter
(100 ml = 3.4 fluid oz. – 100 grams = 3.5 ounces – 1 liter = 34 fluid oz. – 1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds – 100C° 212F° – 180C° 356F°)

Method

How to make carrot and orange donuts

Peel the carrots, cut them into pieces and chop them in the mixer.

Grate the orange and collect its juice.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar.

Now add orange juice and peel, carrots and oil and continue whipping

Now insert the flour and baking powder and mix again.

After greasing and flouring the molds, transfer the mixture into them.
Bake at 180 ° C for 20 minutes.

Melt the white chocolate and butter to prepare the glaze.
Dip the bottom of each donut and turn them upside down to dry them.

Your carrot and orange donuts are ready to be enjoyed.
